WhitePages.com Hires Vice President of Product
Company Expands Management Team with Highly Experienced Product Executive
SEATTLE-July 10, 2008
WhitePages.com, the popular Web site that provides people a simple way to find each other and connect, announced today that it has expanded its management team by hiring Keela Robison as vice president of product.
Robison, who has nearly 15 years experience at several leading technology companies, will play a key role in driving the WhitePages.com vision, directing the progress of the company's rapidly-evolving product roadmap and initiatives that impact the overall user experience. Focused on the quality of the customer experience, her job will include overseeing the teams leading interaction design, creative and project management, data group and customer service.
"Keela brings with her a wealth of relevant experience and skills," says Alex Algard, founder and CEO of WhitePages.com. "Equally important, she has a keen understanding for what resonates with consumers thanks to her extensive experience with some of the world's leading technology companies, and we're excited about how our customers will benefit from it."
Robison joins the WhitePages.com team after working as director of Web and telesales for T-Mobile USA, where she was responsible for a product management and Web content team in Bellevue, Wash., as well as over 1,000 outsourced telesales agents. Robison guided the company's Web site strategy and enhancement initiatives as well as the Web partners and affiliate programs, resulting in the highest growth and most profitable channel for the company.
Prior to her work with T-Mobile, Robison worked for more than five years at RealNetworks, beginning as a product manager for RealPlayer in 1998 and advancing to general manager of the Entertainment and News Business Unit in 2004. While at RealNetworks, she helped launch the first major online movie subscription service and spearheaded Web site designs and features that resulted in more than 100 percent increase in click-through and conversion rates. Her time at RealNetworks also yielded partnerships with Google, American Idol, Starz, Movielink and ABC News.
Robison began her career in California with Bain & Company as an associate consultant responsible for developing business strategies and operational improvement plans for leading corporations. She graduated from Stanford with a B.A. in economics and an M.A. in international policy studies.
