WhitePages.com Ends 2005 a Top 50 Internet Property

Website finishes year as the top directory assistance site

WhitePages.com, the leading provider of online residential directory assistance services, today announced 2005 year-end results which include earning a top 50 spot on the comScore Media Metrix list of all Internet properties. WhitePages.com reached more than 20 million unique users* for the first time in company history, and finished the year as the most trafficked directory assistance property on the Internet.

The continued strength of WhitePages.com as a proprietary site, along with the addition of two distribution partners to WhitePages.com Network, helped boost the company into the overall top 50. In April, MSN became the company's first major portal partner, and in October, a partnership with Verizon SuperPages made WhitePages.com the exclusive white pages provider for three of the four largest U.S. telephone companies.

In 2005, WhitePages.com Network provided more than 1.2 billion directory assistance searches, an increase of 57 percent over the previous year. With the average operator assisted directory assistance call costing between $1.25 and $2.50 per lookup, WhitePages.com enabled consumers to save more than $2.4 billion in directory assistance fees.

Highlighting the company's dedication and service to their advertising partners, WhitePages.com opened a satellite sales office on Madison Avenue in New York City, enabling the company to build a strong foothold in the Northeast corridor, while placing key members of the account team in better proximity to current partners and potential partners on the East Coast.

aQuantive president and CEO Brian McAndrews joined the WhitePages.com board of directors in late 2005, bringing with him more than 20 years of extensive experience in the online advertising space. McAndrews' addition to the board will have a valuable impact on the future of the company as it continues efforts to grow the business and solidify its position as the leading online destination for finding contact information.

W3 Data, the B2B business unit of WhitePages.com Inc., continued its strong growth trend in 2005. With year-over-year revenue growth exceeding 60 percent, W3 Data nearly doubled its installed base of users. W3 Data continued to leverage the search and retrieval capabilities of WhitePages.com Network as it added new products, including a New Movers solution, and released significant upgrades to its existing product lines.

The company also set records for professional accolades earned in 2005. The Washington Software Alliance (WSA) selected WhitePages.com as the consumer product of the year; Washington CEO Magazine selected the company as a best small company to work for; The Puget Sound Business Journal named Bardon to their prestigious 40 under 40 list of the top business leaders in the Seattle area; Inc. magazine listed the company as number 57 on their list of the top 500 fastest growing private companies in North America; Deloitte listed the company as number 55 on their list of the top 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America in addition to listing the company number five on their list of the top 100 fastest growing technology companies in the state of Washington.
