WhitePages Expands Executive Team With Vice President Monetization and Mobile

SEATTLE-September 29, 2008

WhitePages, the popular Web site that provides people a simple way to find each other and connect with confidence, today announced that it has promoted Kevin Nakao to vice president of monetization and mobile. Nakao who has more than 20 years experience at leading media, wireless and Internet companies, will lead the team responsible for developing monetization strategies and programs, manage ad product development and distribution partner implementations and oversee and develop the company’s mobile initiatives. He will report directly to president and COO, Max Bardon.

“We are excited to have someone with Kevin's depth of experience on the WhitePages team," said Bardon. "His impressive track record of driving revenue will have an immediate impact on the company and helps position us well to meet both our short term and long term goals.”

Nakao, the former vice president sales and monetization for Snapvine, joined the WhitePages team as part of the acquisition earlier this year. Most recently he has been spending his time working on various projects including the development of a mobile strategy.

Prior to joining WhitePages, Nakao spent several years in the sales, marketing and product functions for RealNetworks, AT&T Wireless, News Corp/Fox and Universal. As the vice president, music at RealNetworks he launched the first ad-supported on-demand music service known as Rhapsody.com and was responsible for $100 million+ in advertising and subscription revenues. At AT&T Wireless, Nakao was responsible for leading the instant messaging and picture messaging teams, driving more than $100 million in revenue over a two year period. He graduated from Whitman College with a B.A. in Philosophy and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
