Ten years ago, founder Alex Algard officially launched the website and began providing free useful information to help people contact people. Today, the site receives more than 23 million unique users per month and provides contact information for more than 90 million people in the U.S. and Canada. WhitePages.com reports strong growth for 2003 doubling both revenue and profits. The average monthly WhitePages.com Network users grew 80 percent over calendar year 2002. While helping consumers save more than a half-billion dollars in directory assistance charges, the Network averaged 4.7 million monthly unique visitors for the year, leading the competition by growing more than two times the average market growth rate. Other successful highlights from 2003 included: the registration of approximately 100,000 MyWhitePages members per month, a 100 percent increase in advertising clients, and the addition of more than 200 new Network partners to its private label roster. Data Solutions reached a near break-even mark within its first year of operation with revenues growing 25 percent to 50 percent month-over-month and more than 8,500 new customer accounts.
